Support to improve the operating conditions of a coffee seedling nursery

UBACAFE is a group led by 10 women coffee growers from the municipality of Ubaque in the department of Cundinamarca.

For the last 3 years the group has been undertaking with great effort its business of selling coffee seedlings, achieving a competitive and profitable price, favoring the coffee growers who buy from them and generating income for them and their families. However, this year they do not have the necessary resources to purchase the operating materials (baskets, water tanks and bags) needed to operate their nursery.

This project seeks to avoid such a high increase in the price of seedlings, so that they can equip their business, generate profits, manage a lower selling price and save money so that they can invest and next year have enough resources to be profitable and manage good prices.

With your help, the women’s group will be able to provide themselves with 10 baskets for transporting coffee seedlings, a 500 liter tank to facilitate irrigation and 15,000 units of bags to pack the seedlings, which will strengthen their community nursery business.
