Colombian coffee production falls 6% in November

In the last 12 months, exports fell 8% to 11.5 million bags from the almost 12.6 million exported a year earlier.
Bogotá, December 5, 2022 (FNC Press Office) – In November, registered coffee production in Colombia, the world’s largest producer of mild washed Arabica, fell 6% to 1,060,000 60-kg bags of green coffee from over 1,1 million bags produced in the same month of 2021.
So far this year (January-November), production exceeded 10.1 million bags, down 10% from the almost 11.2 million bags produced in the same previous period.
In the last 12 months (December 2021-November 2022), production was close to 11.5 million bags, down 11% from the over 12.9 million bags harvested a year ago.
And in the coffee year, production exceeded 1.9 million bags, down 9% from the over 2.1 million produced in the same previous period.
Exports fall 8% in the last 12 months
In the last 12 months, coffee exports fell 8% to 11.5 million bags from the almost 12.6 million exported a year earlier.
In November, exports declined 25% to 854,000 60-kg bags of green coffee from more than 1.1 million bags exported in the same month of 2021.
YTD coffee exports fell 8% to almost 10.4 million 60-kg bags from the almost 11.3 million bags put on international markets a year ago.
And in the coffee year, exports are almost 1.8 million bags, down 15% from the more than 2.1 million exported in the same previous period.
