With this program, the FNC makes it easier for producers to access sustainable standards, codes of conduct and the specialty coffee market, a very attractive differentiation for consumers worldwide that are willing to pay a higher price.

Specialty coffees are coffees differentiated by characteristics of origin, preparation or sustainable production.

The FNC, through the Extension Service, promotes these initiatives by recommending good practices in coffee farming and processing. The participation of producer associations in these programs is also encouraged to strengthen crop profitability and farm sustainability, and specialized technical assistance is provided for producers to meet the requirements of different seals and codes of conduct and to get the certification or verification that accredits their coffee as sustainable.
