As a result of difficult weather conditions

  • In the same month, coffee exports fell slightly, 1%, to 1,121,000 bags of coffee.

Bogotá, April 5, 2022 (FNC Press Office) – In March, coffee production in Colombia, the world’s largest producer of washed mild Arabica, was 914,000 60-kg bags of green coffee, down 13% from almost 1.1 million bags produced in the same month of 2021.
This figure is a result of difficult weather conditions, especially heavy rains, and the fact that March historically is a month of not very large harvests.
So far this year (January-March), production exceeded 2.7 million bags, down 16% from the 3.2 million bags produced in the same previous period.
