Colombian coffee production falls 22% in November

Exports in the last 12 months and so far this year remain stable.
Bogotá, December 6, 2021 (FNC Press Office) – In November, production of coffee in Colombia, the world’s largest producer of mild washed arabica, was 1.1 million 60-kg bags of green coffee, down 22% from the 1,4 million bags registered in the same month of 2020.
So far this coffee year (October–November 2021), production exceeds 2.1 million bags, down 18% from the 2.6 million in the same previous period.
Year-to-date (January-November) production reached 11.2 million bags, down 8% from the over 12.1 million in the previous period.
And in the last 12 months (December 2020-November 2021), production fell 6% to 12.9 million bags from the 13.8 million in the same previous period.
12-month and YTD exports remain stable
Coffee exports in November fell 11% to 1.1 million 60 kg bags of green coffee from almost 1.3 million bags exported in November 2020.
In the coffee year (October-November 2021), coffee exports were 2.1 million 60 kg bags, down 9% from the 2.3 million exported a year earlier.
YTD (January-November) exports remain stable at around 11.2 million bags.
And in the last 12 months (December 2020-November 2021), exports of around 12.6 million bags have also remained the same.
