Bogotá, February 17, 2021 (FNC Press Office) – For reaching new domestic and international markets and bringing coffee growers, companies or any other owner of 100% Colombian coffee brands closer to end consumers, the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) launched today the online sales channel compracafedecolombia.com
With this new virtual store, the FNC takes a leap in two key points of its value strategy, contributing to improving producers’ profitability and well-being – helping them climb the value chain – and taking full advantage of the new technological trends, which became more relevant in the pandemic.
“This virtual store is a dream come true. All those brands of Colombian coffee growers who work committedly to quality, produce excellent coffee and want to reach new consumers in Colombia and around the world will find there a great showcase,” the FNC CEO, Roberto Vélez, said.
Of the large number of coffee brands in Colombia, many are small and it is not easy for them to offer their products online, so the FNC created this platform as an attractive meeting point for sellers and buyers.
With the support of the FNC, all those having their own coffee brand are invited to participate in this new virtual market, whose registration is free and for which it is only necessary to bear the Café de Colombia denomination of origin. The new platform was born offering 27 brands of 100% Colombian coffee, from artisanal and small producers’ ones to those of wide recognition and experience such as CafiCosta, Café San Alberto and Amor Perfecto, among others.
At first, sales will only be possible within Colombia, but the FNC is already working to reach the US market and then other countries, so that more and more Colombian coffees, roasted at origin, reach different corners of the world.
A new window to the great diversity of coffees
With this new platform, anyone interested in buying 100% Colombian coffee will get to know the country’s huge coffee diversity, which in turn will contribute to increasing quality coffee consumption.
