In September, Colombian coffee production rises 2%

In line with production, coffee exports also rose 1% in the same month

Bogotá, October 2023 (FNC Press Office) – In September, the recorded coffee production of Colombia, the world’s largest producer of washed mild Arabica coffee, was 849,000 bags of 60 kg, up 2% from the 834,000 bags produced in the same month of the previous year.

Likewise, coffee exports rose 1% from 816,000 in September 2022 to 827,000 in the same month of this year.

Like in the last two years, the event of La Niña has affected the flowering of coffee plantations, reducing production and consequently coffee exports.
