YTD coffee exports fell 6% to almost 8.6 million 60-kg bags of green coffee from over 9.1 million bags exported a year earlier.
Bogotá, October 3, 2022 (FNC Press Office) – The registered YTD (January-September) coffee production in Colombia, the world’s largest producer of washed mild Arabica, fell 10% to almost 8.2 million 60-kg bags of green coffee compared to the over 9 million produced a year earlier.
In September, production fell 31% to 834,000 60-kg bags compared to over 1.2 million bags produced in the same month of 2021.
And in the last 12 months (October 2021-September 2022), which coincide with the coffee year, production reached 11.7 million bags, down 13% from the almost 13.4 million bags harvested in the previous period.
YTD exports fall 6%
YTD coffee exports fell 6% to almost 8.6 million 60-kg bags of green coffee from over 9.1 million bags exported a year earlier.
In September, exports fell 25% to 820,000 bags from almost 1.1 million exported in the same month of 2021.
And in the last 12 months, which coincide with the coffee year, exports reached 11.9 million 60-kg bags, down 7% from almost 12.8 million bags exported in the same previous period.
