This strategy allows coffee growers, extensionists and researchers to interact in order to validate, adapt and transfer technologies or generate knowledge based on socio-economic and cultural conditions of producers and agro-ecological conditions of their environment.
With the IPA plots, coffee growers receive timely and appropriate technical continued support from the Extension Service, whose agents also take advantage of them to carry out different educational campaigns for profitability of coffee farming.
Since 2016, the plots aim mainly at the productivity determinants: variety, age, density, sunlight, nutrition and spacing to achieve the optimal production systems defined for the different coffee regions.
